Developing Leaders Academy

By Federal Women's Program DLA Land and Maritime

Are you an aspiring leader? Does your career plan include leading and working with self-directed teams? If your answer is yes, then the DLA Land and Maritime Developing Leaders Academy was created just for you.

The DLA L&M EEO Federal Women's Program and the DLA Training Center created the Developing Leaders Academy for non-supervisory federal employees at the GS11 and below grade levels to provide the opportunity to learn skills, knowledge, and techniques that will enable them to assume leadership roles. If we are not able to fill the class at the GS11 and below, then the Academy will be opened to GS12's. The Developing Leaders Academy course curriculum has been designed to provide a unique, hands-on learning experience and aligns with DLA's strategic plan focus area "Workforce Development."

The Developing Leaders Academy affords an opportunity to those employees who want to improve their skills and advance their career development.

The first session runs September 18 through October 20, 2017 with the following courses:

  • Effective Writing Techniques in DLA
  • Ready, Set, Interview - Behavior-based Interviewing (BBI) for the Interviewee
  • Everyone is a Leader
  • Is Supervision for You?

There are only 25 seats available for this offering.
