Description: There is no current GSA, DoD, or DLA form for this use case. DLA Form 2544 Stock Transfer Order (STO) Shipment Shipping Unit Inventory List / Shipping Unit Placard is to be utilized as the official "Shipping Unit Inventory List" and "Shipping Unit Placard" for In-Transit Stock Transfer Orders Site-to-Site Stock Transfer Orders. Employees will input information and scan STO data from the accountable property onto this form using bar coding and .xml capabilities whereby resulting in a shipping unit inventory list for each shipping unit container. When shipping unit is full, this form will be digitally signed and a shipping unit placard will auto-generate based on the data input from pg. 1 onto pg. 2. The shipping unit inventory list will be placed inside of packing slip affixed to the shipping unit container and the shipping unit placard will be affixed to the outside of the shipping container. This provides the receivers a validation tool to ensure accountable property is not missing or misdirected. This version adds a column for DEMIL Code and additional instructions created/uploaded in the attachment that provide field personnel with more efficient methods of creating master listings.
