Approaching this Independence Day weekend, let us take a moment to reflect on the steadfast guardians of our freedom, our Nation’s Warfighters. They willingly put their lives on the line every day to ensure the security and prosperity of our beloved homeland, defending our values and preserving the principles upon which our great Nation was founded 247 years ago. It is only through their service and unwavering commitment to duty that we ensure the spirit of freedom, and the flame of liberty continues to burn brightly.
As we watch unfolding world events and navigate through the challenges and uncertainties of the world around us, let us remember the values that bind us together as a Nation of the free. First, let us celebrate the enduring spirit of liberty … the freedom to pursue our dreams, express our thoughts, and embrace diversity. It is this liberty that empowers us to innovate, collaborate, and build a brighter future together. The value of unity is equally vital … it is our ability to come together as one team, transcending our differences and working toward a common goal. Former President Herbert Hoover expressed this sentiment well when he said, “America was not built on fear. America was built on courage, on imagination and an unbeatable determination to do the job at hand.”
