NEW CUMBERLAND, Pa. –
Mr. Arwyn Geronimo works as a materials handler at DLA Distribution Yokosuka, Japan, where his performance led to eight green warehousing metrics for the first quarter.
“He is a highly-motivated self-starter who made a significant impact at DLA’s largest overseas distribution center, strengthening the U.S. Navy 7th Fleet and Carrier Wing 5’s readiness and lethality,” said Ms. Twila C. Gonzales, senior executive service, deputy commander, DLA Distribution.
Among the long list of his accomplishments are training military personnel in tasks that eliminated the need for overtime by civilian employees; clearing up a two-year backlog of document destruction and successfully handling the storage of $2.7 million in vaccines that are temperature sensitive.
He is also credited with improving storage procedures and increasing many efficiencies for DLA Distribution Yokosuka, Japan.
