DLA Distribution Corpus Christi, Texas, in conjunction with DLA Aviation, hosted an exhibit booth to showcase the capabilities of all DLA primary level field activities at this year’s annual Army Aviation Association of America Luther G. Jones Professional Aviation Forum which was held from Oct. 19-20.

“This forum presented a unique opportunity to collaborate with multiple Department of Defense and OEM partners to discuss key topics in the Army Aviation Community,” explained DLA Distribution Corpus Christi, Texas, commander Army Lt. Col. Brian Richie.

DLA’s attendance was well received by the Aviation and Missile Command and the Corpus Christi Army Depot leadership.

“Our presence spurred several table-side conversations regarding how to advertise our capabilities to the industrial base,” said Richie.

Additionally, Jeremy Beckwith, support services division chief at DLA Distribution Corpus Christi, Texas, was invited to participate in the Army Corrosion Reduction Strategy panel held during the forum.

Beckwith spoke to nearly 400 DoD and Aviation community leaders on the holistic approach DLA has taken to reduce the effects of corrosion on material while in long term storage. He focused on three key areas that promote corrosion reduction through preservation and storage improvements, including recent stock readiness policy changes, increased COSIS resourcing and covered storage capacity enhancements underway to better protect material.
