DLA Aviation set to case colors ahead of Weapons Support activation

RICHMOND, Va. — On July 23, the Defense Logistics Agency will close a historic chapter and forge a unified future as it officially deactivates DLA Aviation, based on Defense Supply Center Richmond. This deactivation, held in conjunction with the deactivation of DLA Land and Maritime in Columbus, Ohio, the day after, marks the formal stand-up of DLA Weapons Support – a new, integrated major subordinate command headquartered in Columbus.

DLA employees at Richmond required to ensure Lenel access by Oct. 30

RICHMOND, Va. — All Defense Logistics Agency employees on Defense Supply Center Richmond are required to enroll in the Lenel Access Control System by Oct. 30, to prepare the workforce in the event of heightened security measures or if a lockdown is implemented in response to an active threat.

Aviation at Ogden tackles demand signal challenges to bolster aircraft readiness

RICHMOND, Va. — The team from Defense Logistics Agency Aviation at Ogden recently concluded a five-day intensive workshop aimed at refining its demand signal processes. The workshop, held Aug.18-22 at Hill Air Force Base, Utah, brought together more than 150 experts from DLA Aviation, the Air Logistics Complex and Supply Chain Operations to address the complex challenge of aligning procurement practices with evolving operational needs.
