Celebrating DLA's 60th Anniversary: DLA Energy over the years
World War II was a “war of machines” that involved massive naval and air forces, the movements of troops over great distances and the large-scale use of tanks, ships, and submarines. Major strategic wartime decisions were made based on the lack of availability of oil. The Allies used about 7 billion barrels of oil to win the war. With a history that spans more than 75 years, dating back to World War II, Defense Logistics Agency Energy enables mission readiness by providing globally resilient energy solutions to the Warfighter and Whole of Government.
