Tanya Everett

Director, DLA Human Resources Services (DHRS)

Ms. Tanya Everett serves as the Director of the Defense Logistics Agency (DLA) Human Resources Services (DHRS), the operational arm of DLA’s J1, which provides direct HR support to more than 25,000 civilian and military employees of DLA and nearly 27,000 employees in other defense organizations that contract with DHRS for HR support. 

In this role, Ms. Everett directs the programs, operations, functions, and administrative activities of the DLA HR servicing regional offices, HR Systems office, Military Personnel office, Enterprise Operations office, and DLA Training, providing complete, centralized, highly technical and complex administrative HR program services. She is directly responsible for planning, managing and providing full HR services to the Agency and other DoD serviced agencies in the United States and overseas.

With over 25 years of federal government experience, Ms. Everett offers a broad knowledge of human capital, change and risk management, programs, leadership, policies, and strategies.  A native of N.C. and former active-duty U.S. Marine, Ms. Everett served our nation faithfully for over 12 years.  Following her tenure as an active-duty Marine, Ms. Everett served in various civil service positions (operational, regional, and headquarters) for different federal agencies (U.S. Marine Corps, Pension Benefit Guaranty Corporation, U.S. Bureau of Engraving and Printing, and Financial Crimes Enforcement Network [FinCEN]). Prior to DLA, Ms. Everett served as the Deputy Associate Director, Management Division, for the FinCEN, U.S. Department of the Treasury, oversighting HR, Security, Facilities, Logistics, and Finance.  Ms. Everett holds a bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice and a master’s degree in Human Services.
