TEXARKANA, Texas –
DLA Distribution Red River, Texas, held their annual Employee Appreciation Day on Nov. 17.
The day consisted of a catered holiday meal of smoked turkey, ham and “all the fixins,’”according to Red River commander Army Lt. Col. Jeffery Chamberlain. The day also served as observances for Hispanic Americans, individuals with disabilities, and Native American Heritage.
Red River employee’s participated in an array of gaming activities and prize giveaways. Competitions included archery, a braille station, a sign language station, Hispanic food tasting and a Native American trivia contest.
As the day’s activities came to a close Chamberlain expressed his gratitude to the Red River family for “their tireless dedication to service and sacrifice for supporting America’s Warfighters.”
