NEW CUMBERLAND, Pa. –
Navy Rear Adm. Peter G. Stamatopoulos, director of logistics, J4, U.S. European Command and Col. Krista Hoffman, Defense Logistics Agency Europe and Africa commander, attended the European Command Joint Logistics Board, hosted by CTF-67 and Naval Supply Systems Command Fleet Logistics Center, in support of joint logistics planning Aug. 13 and 14 in Sigonella, Italy. Stamatopoulos and Hoffman also visited DLA Distribution Sigonella, Italy, for a tour and operational overview.
“It’s always an honor and a pleasure to showcase the world class workforce and facilities at DLA Distribution Sigonella, Italy,” said Navy Cmdr. Vincent Erno. He went on to add that, “It’s a great morale boost for our employees when senior officers take an interest in the great support they provide to the warfighter every day.”
Hoffman, the new DLA Europe and Africa Commander and former commander of DLA Distribution Europe in Germersheim, Germany, also addressed DDSI employees at a town hall meeting, where she presented her leadership philosophy. Hoffman toured the various warehouses within DDSI and presented coins to three outstanding personnel for extraordinary efforts.
