Through understaffing issues and accountability audits, they maintained a direct support to the warfighter that saw outstanding effort and regularly exceeding requirements.

DDOO refined programs to cut customer business hour delivery times. They skillfully orchestrated the on-time delivery of over 500,000high priority material release orders and exceeded the on-time delivery goal of 24 hours by 7% despite being under-staffed by 4% during the year. In a similar manner, DDOO exceeded standards and all expectations for 233,245 routine MROs by surpassing three-day time standard by 33%. DDOO picked and shipped over 11,000military service redistribution orders in two days instead of the three-day objective, once again exceeding the requirement by 33% and moving Air Force material in an extremely timely manner. Likewise, DDOO ensured over 20 distribution centers received timely replenishments to support their customers by shipping more than 12 thousand stock transport orders in two and a half days against a five day goal, and beat on-time rate by 50%.

Receiving functions at DDOO also achieved great performance for nearly 300,000annual receipts. Receiving beat a previous 24-hour time goal for over 70,000new procurement receipts with a process time of 10.3 hours exceeding the objective by 57%. Spanning 11 multi-million dollar warehouses and handling $11 billion in assets, DDOO maintained green level metrics across more than 225 thousand stows. Across the board, DDOO staff were able to accomplish tasks in a timely manner, in some cases exceeding the time standards by as much as 73% faster.

Still yet, through their understaffed status, DDOO accomplished a net operating profit of over $100 million. Various programs and attention to detail resulted in cost savings, all while still making schedule adjustments to account for the annual 100% inventory audit.

For these achievements, and many more DDOO has earned the Brig. Gen. Barbara Doornink DLA Distribution center (large) of the year award for fiscal year 2019.
