NEW CUMBERLAND, Pa. –
As we celebrate Women's History Month this March, it's important to take this opportunity to reflect on the remarkable achievements women have made throughout history.
This year’s theme is “Women who Have Made Great Achievements,” and focuses on honoring the women who have made significant contributions and accomplishments in various fields. From groundbreaking scientists like Marie Curie, who paved the way in the field of radioactivity, to courageous activists like Rosa Parks, who sparked the civil rights movement, women have played pivotal roles in shaping our world.
We must also recognize the unsung heroes, the women whose names may not be widely known but whose contributions are no less significant. Whether it's through military or federal service, advocating for gender equality, breaking barriers in male-dominated industries, or nurturing future generations, women continue to inspire and lead by example.
As we celebrate Women's History Month, let us not only commemorate the achievements of the past but also commit ourselves to supporting and empowering women in the present and future. To guide us in recognizing the achievements and impact women have had on the history of our nation, I encourage everyone to read the attached Women’s History Month newsletter created by DLA Distribution’s Equal Employment Opportunity office.
And as we observe and celebrate the vital role women have played not only in America’s history, as well as today and into our future, Mr. Knight and I would like to thank you and your families for your dedicated efforts in supporting our warfighters through every contingency with agile, intelligent, and resilient capacity. Our Soldiers, Marines, Sailors, Airmen and Guardians would not be able to do what they do without Team Distribution!
