Always be honest in life and true to yourself.
What are some of the common ways people show support and raise awareness of sexual assault prevention throughout the month of April?
Together our worldwide workforce can participate in Teal Tuesday by wearing something teal, the designated color for sexual assault awareness. In our communities we can engage in group discussions, workshops, and educational programs focused on consent and awareness.
Why is awareness important?
Awareness is crucial in sexual assault prevention because it helps break the silence surrounding the issue, reduces stigma for survivors, and educates communities on how to recognize and prevent sexual violence. By raising awareness, individuals are empowered to speak out against sexual assault, support survivors, and advocate for policies and resources that promote prevention, safety, and respect.
Where can associates receive additional information and resources if they or someone they know need assistance?
Your local SARC has resources, or you can call the DLA SAPR Hotline at 1-800-841-0937 or DOD Safe Helpline at 877-995-5247. For more information: DLA Sexual Assault Prevention and Response (SAPR)
