In the nomination portfolio, Teresa Smith, chief data officer in the DLA Information Operations Directorate and Michel’s previous supervisor said, “Carolynn’s dedication to the DLA Aviation mission and success was impressive. Her knowledge, leadership and take-charge attitude set her apart and was demonstrated repeatedly throughout her career on very important, general officer-and flag officer-level projects. Michel retired January 2015.
