Naval Supply Corps officer assumes command of DLA Troop Support Pacific

Navy Cmdr. Shani LeBlanc assumed command of the Defense Logistics Agency Troop Support Pacific during a ceremony Nov. 27 in Hawaii.

DLA Pacific Commander Navy Capt. Timothy Daniels officiated the ceremony at the DLA Troop Support Pacific office at Joint Base Pearl Harbor Hickam.

DLA Troop Support Pacific ensures the combat readiness and sustainment of America's military in the Pacific region by providing world-class logistical support through five supply chains.

Prior to reporting to Troop Support Pacific, LeBlanc served as the executive officer at NAVSUP Fleet Logistics Center Pearl Harbor.

A native of Rosepine, Louisiana, she received her commission in 1999 through Officer Candidate School upon graduation from the University of Louisiana at Lafayette, where she received a Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice.

She also earned a Master of Business of Administration from The College of William and Mary and graduated from the Air Command and Staff College.

Her sea duty assignments include: Disbursing Officer, Sales Officer and Food Service Officer, USS Blue Ridge (LCC 19), Yokosuka, Japan and Supply Officer USS Bunker Hill (CG 52), San Diego. LeBlanc deployed in a global support assignment in November 2008 and served as the future operations surface officer for the CENTCOM Deployment and Distribution Operations Center, Camp Arifjan, Kuwait, until June 2009.

LeBlanc’s other shore duty assignments include: assistant supply officer, Naval Air Station Meridian, Mississippi; data analyst, shipboard services and stock control, Commander Naval Surface Forces Pacific Fleet, San Diego; V-22/H-53 Weapons Systems Support Officer, Defense Logistics Agency, Richmond, Virginia;  LCDR Detailer and “Pit Boss,” Navy Personal Command (OP/PERS 4412), Millington, Tennessee.

LeBlanc is a qualified Naval Aviation Supply Corps Officer and Surface Warfare Supply Corps Officer. Her personal decorations include the Defense Meritorious Service Medal, Meritorious Service Medal (two awards), Joint Service Commendation Medal, Navy and Marine Corps Commendation Medal (three awards), Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal (two awards), and various unit and service awards.
