COLUMBUS, Ohio –
More than 700 Defense Logistics Agency employees have attended the Land and Maritime Academy since its inaugural debut in February 2018. In addition, many employees have provided their feedback when asked about the event.
So what are people saying about the Academy? According to the survey results from June 2018 to April 2019, 80% of the attendees agreed that the purpose of the Academy was met.
The purpose of the Academy is to increase DLA Land and Maritime employee’s understanding of our mission and how it is accomplished. Employees gain knowledge about various organizations, each providing insight on their mission, leadership, strategic focus, customers, current and future projects and plans, metrics and points of contact. The Academy is the final phase of New Employee Orientation.
The next Academy will take place October 2019. DLA Land and Maritime employees near the end of their first year of employment will be contacted by the People and Culture Directorate to attend the event.
