Defense Logistics Agency People and Culture Directorate quickly stepped up to the plate and adjusted a face-to-face meeting to a virtual platform due to the Social Distancing order. On March 18, virtual training sessions on the Department of Defense Performance Management and Appraisal Program and Social Contract information for new employees and supervisors were presented.
Training was conducted via Skype share screen with a conference call-in number. After ironing out a few technical issues, all the training objectives were met.
The innovative meeting ended with a request from one employee asking how they too could set up and conduct training via Skype.
Based on feedback from participants, the training was well received.
The directorate’s People Support division was pleased with the turn-out for the sessions, which included 22 new employees and 11 new supervisors.
