DLA Distribution Commanding General and staff declare commitment to ending sexual assault in the workplace

By Matthew Mahoney, DLA Distribution Public Affairs

As part of April Sexual Assault Awareness and Prevention month, Defense Logistics Agency Distribution Commanding General, Brig. Gen. Keith Reventlow, USMC, and Deputy Commander, Perry Knight, Senior Executive Service, signed a proclamation affirming the commitment to end sexual assault in the workplace.

“Sexual assault is a scourge that impacts every individual,” said Reventlow. “We take pride in creating a work environment that treats everyone with dignity and respect, which is why we have a zero-tolerance policy for sexual assault within our workforce.”

In addition to Reventlow and Knight, each distribution center commander and deputy have also signed their own proclamation, committing their names and efforts to creating a workplace free of sexual assault.

DLA Distribution employees have been invited to participate in a variety of activities to raise awareness regarding sexual assault prevention.

The virtual teal ribbon relay, teal Tuesdays and denim Fridays are ways employees can participate together, though distant, in raising awareness about the zero-tolerance policy DLA Distribution holds regarding sexual assault.
