RICHMOND, Va –
Key personnel within Defense Logistics Agency Installation Management Richmond, including representatives from Security and Emergency Services, Environmental Management, and DLA Aviation Public Affairs Office, gathered in Conference Room One of Bldg. 34 on Defense Supply Center Richmond, Virginia, Nov. 4 for a tabletop exercise. The fictitious exercise scenario was based on a hazardous material incident occurring on DSCR.
Bill Bullock, the installation emergency manager for Security and Emergency Services, said the exercise was to evaluate all decision-making processes and execute actions that would occur during a real-life HAZMAT situation. Bullock conducts emergency training throughout the year and holds emergency exercises on various scenarios annually to make sure employees are prepared to handle a multitude of emergency situations on DSCR.
