DLA Distribution San Diego employee retires after 42 years of federal service

Accountable Officer, Vincent Grace, retired from Defense Logistics Agency Distribution San Diego, California Sep. 7 following 42 years of federal service.

In a small ceremony held at DDDC, Grace was presented with a Meritorious Civilian Service Award by DDDC Commander, Navy Capt. Kerri Yarbrough.

“It’s an honor to stand before you as your presiding officer and serve as your commander during a short stint of your 42 year career. I want to thank both you and your wife, Carol, for your faithful service. Vince, you were a body of institutional knowledge who has helped forge DLA Distribution San Diego to what it is today,” said Yarbrough.

Of his time working with DLA Distribution Grace said, “This is what I find fulfilling. It’s a dream come true working here, to help DLA Distribution San Diego keep pace with maintaining the sustainment of the warfighter.”
