What services does the site provide? DLA Disposition Services site at Ft. Hood provides disposal operations, environmental, Contracting Officer Representative duties, Hazardous Waste contractual removal at Receipt in Place locations, as well as direct scrap removals at forward located collections sites throughout the Hood HUB footprint. We also service a big portion of West Texas FT Worth (NASJRB), Abilene (Dyess), Brownwood, El Paso (FT Bliss) for HW only. We also offer training in turning in property according to DoD Guidance.

What are the major units supported at the site? Fort Hood Logistics Readiness Center, 13th Expeditionary Sustainment Command, III Armored Corps, Modernization Displacement and Repair Site Hood, 1st Cavalry Division, 3rd Armored Cavalry Regiment, 1st Medical Brigade. We also support federal and state agencies including Texas Parks and Wildlife, Department of Homeland Security and schools with the computers for learning program.

What are the most notable or unusual item(s) processed by the site? Horses, lots of musical equipment and, UH-60 Blackhawks that are DEMIL Condition of Sale.

What is the site’s average annual fiscal year statistics?  30K lines of property received, 1.4M pounds of scrap removed, $34.3M of property reutilized, and 1,294 lines of Hazzard waste processed.

Does the site have any focus areas? Being the proving ground for US Army and III Corp supply concepts.  Improved reverse logistics.
