DLA Aviation Qualified Supplier List (QSL) Changes Feb. 2023

DLA Aviation has discontinued the Qualified Suppliers List (QSL) program effective February 20, 2023, for manufacturers and distributors of the following commodities:

  • Class 2 Threaded Fasteners (FSC 5305, 5306, 5307, and 5310)
  • Class 3 Threaded Fasteners (FSC 5305, 5306, 5307, and 5310)
  • Quick Release Pins (FSC 5315)
  • Rivets (FSC 5320)

 Submitting a Source Approval Request (SAR) is the current process to becoming an approved source. For more information see, the Vendor Resources, SAR tab.

 QSL Vendors due for reapplication or audit did remain in good standing through the program closure date of February 20, 2023.

 As of February 20, 2023, no new QSL Vendor applications will be accepted and no audits for existing QSL vendors will be initiated.

All existing contract awards and solicitations containing the following STOs will remain valid:

  • IS072
  • IS054
  • IS097
  • IS098
  • IS086

QSL requirements associated with the above Standard Text Objects (STOs) apply unless otherwise waived in writing by the contracting officer.

Notwithstanding with these changes, suppliers are reminded that in accordance with DLA Directive (DLAD) Procurement Note C03, Contractor Retention of Supply Chain Traceability Documentation, suppliers must still provide traceability documentation before award upon request and must retain traceability documentation for 6 years (10 years for Critical Safety Items) following final payment.

  1. Open Procurement Policy and Directives Page.
  2. Scroll down the page to DLA Directive (DLAD) Procurement Notes.
  3. Select the DLA Directive (DLAD) Procurement Notes link to newest version.
  4. Search the code in the document by selecting shortcut keys Ctrl + F on keyboard.
  5. When search box appears, type in the C03 code and press enter key on keyboard.
  6. Review DLAD Procurement Note C03 requirement or description.
