Training With Industry through DLA Troop Support: Seizing opportunity

PHILADELPHIA — Ursula Stewart, a contracting officer for the Defense Logistics Agency Troop Support’s Industrial Hardware supply chain, has always looked for personal and professional development opportunities. So when she had the chance to apply for the Training With Industry program, Stewart contemplated throwing her hat in the proverbial ring. When she though of applying, she didn’t realize was how challenging and enlightening the process would be in deciding if TWI was right for her. But now, as she is getting ready to depart for Amazon’s headquarters in Seattle, Washington in June, she couldn’t be more excited.

Improvements in cold chain management reinforce Medical’s joint role, processes

PHILADELPHIA — The Defense Logistics Agency published an updated joint regulation reinforcing DLA Troop Support Medical’s role and introducing new protocols in cold chain management.
