Defense Logistics Agency Troop Support Subsistence supply chain hosted a town hall on 30 May in Philadelphia. The Subsistence supply chain provides food support for the military all over the world. From individually packaged meals in a soldier's ruck sack, to a ship's galley and to full-service dining facilities on military installations, Subsistence gets that food there. Subsistence also supports other non-Department of Defense activities, such as the Federal Emergency Management Agency, the State Department, Veterans’ Homes and more.

FORT BELVOIR, Va. — Thomas Daley, former deputy director of the subsistence supply chain at Defense Logistics Agency Troop Support, is a member of the 2023 DLA Hall of Fame.

Construction and Equipment’s cultural improvement team hosts a sweet kick-off event

PHILADELPHIA — The Defense Logistics Agency Troop Support Construction and Equipment supply chain’s cultural improvement team hosted its first in-person event since the pandemic May 10.

Defense Logistics Agency Troop Support was honored with the inaugural Federal Executive Board Member Spotlight Award at the FEB Excellence in Government Awards ceremony held May 4 in Philadelphia. DLA Troop Support Deputy Commander Kishayra J. Lambert accepted the award on behalf of the organization.

DLA Troop Support wins inaugural Excellence in Government award

PHILADELPHIA — Defense Logistics Agency Troop Support was honored with the inaugural Federal Executive Board Member Spotlight Award at the FEB Excellence in Government Awards ceremony held May 4 in Philadelphia.

In recognition of Asian American and Pacific Islander Heritage Month, the DLA Troop Support Equal Employment Opportunity Office and NAVSUP Weapon Systems Support (NAVSUP WSS) will host a program on, Wednesday May 10, 2023, from 1300-1400 in the Bldg 6 Auditorium. The Guest Speaker will be Mr. Cliff Akiyama, a licensed Pediatric Behavioral Specialist (LBS) in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania who works with youth in the cross-sections of the juvenile justice and behavioral health systems. Mr. Akiyama also is a Commissioner on the Mayor’s Commission on Asian Pacific American Affairs (MCAPAA), Secretary of the Board of Directors of the Anti-Violence Partnership of Philadelphia (AVP), and Board Member of the Philadelphia Chapter of the Japanese American Citizens League (JACL) where he previously served as the President of the chapter.

Chili cook-off recipe for success: Medical CIT hosts morale-building event

PHILADELPHIA — For the past three months, Defense Logistics Agency Troop Support employees have been readjusting to being back in the office two to three days a week, offering more opportunities for collaboration as well as morale and relationship building. The Medical supply chain Cultural Improvement Team recently took advantage of such an opportunity by hosting a chili cook-off on March 29.
