Fueling the fight: POL teams pump life into airpower, mission
Staff Sgt. Kevin Gordon, 407th Expeditionary Logistic Readiness Squadron petroleum, oil and lubricants flight fuels facilities manager, starts a fuel pump when receiving a shipment May 10, 2017, in Southwest Asia. Fuel technicians maintain all POL substances, from diesel and gasoline to jet fuel and liquid oxygen. These materials play a vital role in delivering airpower to the fight against ISIS as part of Operation Inherent Resolve.
