Lifecycle maintenance program breathes new life into Corps safety boats
Marines from 2nd Reconnaissance Battalion conduct visit, board, search and seizure training alongside the USS San Antonio (LPD-17 off the coast of Virginia Beach, Va., while an Open Water Safety Craft floats nearby. The OWSC has been in service since 2006, and is used as an emergency vessel during waterborne training operations.
