The modified B-29 Superfortress named the Enola Gay dropped the first bomb, called Little Boy, on Hiroshima August 6, 1945. Another B-29, Bockscar, dropped the second bomb, called Fat Man, on Nagasaki three days later. Enola Gay can be viewed at the Smithsonian Air and Space Museum, Hampton, Virginia.
