DLA Land and Maritime Small Business results through 3rd quarter FY18
Defense Logistics Agency Land and Maritime announced that more than $120 million in government contracting dollars have been awarded to Ohio small businesses since the beginning of the fiscal year. Nearly $37 million in award dollars have gone to small businesses in the Columbus region. The majority of dollars were awarded to Ohio small businesses in the manufacturing sector, with the following areas receiving the most award dollars statewide: Industrial Valve Manufacturing, Miscellaneous General Purpose Machinery Manufacturing, Other Motor Vehicle Parts Manufacturing, Radio and Television Broadcasting and Wireless Communications Equipment Manufacturing. In the Columbus Metropolitan Region, companies manufacturing the following received the majority of award dollars through the end of the third quarter: Miscellaneous General Purpose Machinery Manufacturing, Fluid Power Pump and Motor Manufacturing, Motor Vehicle Transmission and Power Train Parts Manufacturing, Other Engine Equipment Manufacturing.
