Low-key elk transfer brings high expectations of success
A transfer took place when two female elk were moved from Defense Supply Center Richmond, Virginia to Maymont Park May 7, 2019. Maymont Park wanted to expand its elk population with the introduction of new genetic stock and the DSCR herd was resized to become more manageable, making the transfer a win-win for both organizations.
