Understanding PTSD
DLA Land and Maritime Employment Assistance Program Manager Drew Henderson hosted a seminar on Understanding PTSD for associates June 25 in the Buckeye Room at the Defense Supply Center Columbus. Associates unable to attend in person had the option to participate virtually by calling into the workshop. Posttraumatic Stress Disorder is a mental health condition that some people develop after experiencing or witnessing a life-threatening event, such as combat, a natural disaster, a car accident or sexual assault. During the seminar, he explained what PTSD is, how to deal with it and how to help others.The workshop was held two days prior to PTSD Awareness Day.
