Son Zac and wife Carrie pin rank on newly-promoted Air Force Col. Samuel F. Payne Jr.’s uniform Aug. 1 during a ceremony at the Defense Supply Center Columbus. Carrie and Samuel are both graduates of Gahanna’s Lincoln High School. Zac will attend The College of Wooster in northeastern Ohio this fall.
