A clerk in the Defense Construction Supply Center's Directorate of Storage and Transportation manages shipments April 23, 1968, shortly after the new Mechanized Materials Handling System became operational. MMHS improved sorting capability allowed shipments to be consolidated and the number of Parcel Post shipments to be reduced.
