Logistics on Location: DLA Land and Maritime supports USS Nitze
The supply team on the Navy destroyer USS Nitze works closely with Defense Logistics Agency Land and Maritime Norfolk to get the repair parts it needs to complete its mission while at sea. DLA also resupplies the kitchens with food along with other materiel needed to meet mission requirements around the globe. The USS Nitze (DDG-94) is the 16th Flight IIA Arleigh Burke class guided missile destroyer and is named after Paul H. Nitze. Nitze, who served as Secretary of the Navy under President Lyndon B. Johnson and as chief arms control adviser in the administration of President Ronald Reagan.
