DLA makes Navy last-minute resupply possible after Chinese balloon strike down
The Defense Logistics Agency provided quick-turn subsistence support to the USS Carter Hall during their recovery mission of the Chinese high-altitude surveillance balloon shot down off the coast of Myrtle Beach, SC on February 4, 2023. Supplies were delivered on February 9, 2023 with the coordination of Naval Supply Systems Command Fleet Logistics Center Jacksonville. DLA Troop Support is a Major Subordinate Command of the Defense Logistics Agency located in Philadelphia, with a global presence including offices in Europe & Africa and the Pacific regions.
