Mayport NS ribbon cutting celebrates cost saving utilities contract
American Water was handed the “keys” the Mayport Naval Station Wastewater Treatment Facility to begin their 50-year contract the base their first Navy installation and first Florida contract on March 1st. Defense Logistics Agency Energy, in coordination with Naval Facilities Engineering Systems Command, awarded a 50-year contract to American Water Military Services, LLC to privatize the wastewater utility system for Naval Station Mayport, Florida in June 2022.
