DLA Energy celebrates career of former commander
Air Force Brig. Gen. Jimmy “Vegas” Canlas (right) celebrated his 30-year miliary career during a retirement ceremony at the McNamara Headquarters Complex auditorium on Fort Belvoir, Virginia, June 30. In his final tour, Canlas served as the Defense Logistics Agency Energy commander from June 2020 to June 2023. DLA Director Vice Adm. Michelle Skubic (left) presented Certificates of Appreciation to Canlas’ daughter Malea (second from left) and his son Jonah (center).
