DLA Energy supports space missions from coast to coast
The Defense Logistics Agency Energy Aerospace team fueled two space missions in September 2023. On Sept. 14, DLA Energy provided high purity hydrazine, gaseous nitrogen and gaseous helium for the launch of a space vehicle aboard Firefly Aerospace’s Alpha rocket from Vandenberg Space Force Base, California. The mission, known as VICTUS NOX, successfully lifted off at the first available launch window, 27 hours after receipt of launch orders, setting a new record for responsive space launch.
