Environmental Protection Specialist Michael Lapine [right] handles hazardous waste and materials issues for DLA Disposition Services’ Grafenwohr property disposal facility in eastern Germany. In November, the former DOD firefighter/EMT saved the life of a material turn-in customer who experienced cardiac arrest while visiting the DLA site. Lapine was awarded the Superior Civilian Service medal for his quick response.
