The U.S. Air Force 435th Contingency Response Support Squadron’s Capt. Corey Mcglynn, Master Sgt. Richard Boutwell, and Staff Sgt. Riley Solomon pose at Ramstein Air Base in Germany with a recently acquired Dismounted Reconnaissance Sets, Kits, and Outfits, or “DRSKO” system received as free excess property from the Defense Logistics Agency Disposition Services. The mobile unit, originally conceived for use by the U.S. Army’s dismounted reconnaissance and hazardous material technicians tasked with responding to weapons of mass destruction threats, was originally valued at over $1 million and recently became available for reutilization when a Kaiserslautern-based Army Reserve unit was ordered to deactivate.
