A Legacy of Service: Mejia’s Family Service to the Warfighter
On May 9, 2025, Julien Mejia, son of George and Paula Mejia, was commissioned as a U.S. Air Force officer during the graduation ceremony at Kent State University in Kent, Ohio. His path to becoming an officer was supported by the Scholarships for Outstanding Airmen and Guardians to ROTC (SOAR) program, which helps enlisted Airmen earn a college degree and commission.
