DLA Aviation deactivates ahead of Weapons Support activation
Members of the Defense Logistics Agency Richmond Police Honor Guard remove the DLA flag and the Air Force one-star general officer flag to symbolize the deactivation of DLA Aviation and relinquishment of command by Air Force Brig. Gen. Patrick Launey from the installation flag poles July 23. Once DLA Weapons Support activates on July 24, a DLA Weapons Support and Navy one-star admiral flag will go up the flag poles to symbolize the new command and new leadership.
