A quarter-century of remembrance: Federal workforce keeps promise to Never Forget
Hundreds gather on the Ohio Stadium field the morning of Sept. 11, 2026 for the OSU ROTC’s annual 9/11 Memorial Stair Climb. Members of Defense Supply Center Columbus and DLA Weapons Support were among the 3,100 participants who climbed stairs throughout the stadium in symbolic remembrance of the firefighters who ascended the World Trade Center towers in an effort to save others. The event welcomed individuals of all fitness levels and included first responders, military members, veterans, students and OSU alumni. Participants were encouraged to climb at their own pace while reflecting on the lives impacted by September 11 and honoring the legacy of those who answered the call without hesitation.
