Col. Brian Donahue

COL, U.S. Army, Military Deputy Commander, DLA Indo-Pacific

COL Brian Donahue graduated from Catholic Memorial High School in West Roxbury, MA in 1994. He attended Boston College in Chestnut Hill, MA and was commissioned in the U.S. Army Quartermaster Corps in May 1998.

MILITARY AND CIVILIAN EDUCATION: COL Donahue is a 2021 U.S. Naval War College graduate earning a Master’s Degree in Defense and Strategic Studies. He holds a Bachelor of Arts Degree in English from Boston College, a Master of Business Administration in Logistics from TUI University at Cypress, CA, and a Master in Higher Education and Administration from the University of Louisville at Louisville, KY. He also graduated from the Quartermaster Officer Basic Course, Fort Lee, VA; Combined Logistics Officers Advance Course, Fort Lee, VA; the Combined Arms Service Staff School, Fort Leavenworth, KS; the Aerial Delivery Materiel Officer’s Course, Fort Lee, VA, and Intermediate Level Education at the Command and General Staff College Fort Leavenworth, KS.

ASSIGNMENT HIGHLIGHTS: COL Donahue’s first assignment was as Platoon Leader and Company Executive Officer for the 348th Quartermaster Company, Camp Humphreys, Korea in 1998. He then served as Battalion Adjutant for the 194th Maintenance Battalion, Camp Humphreys in 2000. Upon completion of the Captain’s Career Course, he was assigned as G-4 Theater Logistics Plans Officer, United States Army Pacific (USARPAC), in 2002 at Fort Shafter, HI. He then served as the Deputy Plans Officer for the 25th Infantry Division (Light) G4, Schofield Barracks in 2003. COL Donahue commanded the 540th Quartermaster Company at Schofield Barracks and LSA Diamondback, Mosul, Iraq from 2003- 2005. Upon re-deployment, he served as a Battle Command Sustainment Support System Operations Officer, Combined Arms Support Command, Fort Lee, Virginia in 2005. From 2007-2010, COL Donahue served as Theater Plans Officer and Chief, Army Special Operations Forces Liaison Element- Korea, 528 Sustainment Brigade, Camp Coiner, Korea, and deployed in support of the Joint Special Operations Task Force- Philippines in 2008. In 2011, he assumed duties as the Deputy Support Operations Officer, 45th Sustainment Brigade, Schofield Barracks and deployed to Kandahar, Afghanistan in 2012. He later served as Support Operations Officer and Executive Officer, 524 Combat Sustainment Support Battalion, Schofield Barracks and deployed to Mazar-e-Sharif, Afghanistan in 2013. In 2014, COL Donahue assumed duties as Department Chair and Professor of Military Science at Lehigh University in Bethlehem, PA. COL Donahue returned to Korea in 2016 and assumed duties as the Assistant Deputy Chief of Staff for Transformation, 2ID Infantry Republic of Korea/ US Combined Division. In 2017, COL Donahue assumed command of the 70th Brigade Support Battalion, 210 Field Artillery Brigade, Camp Casey, Korea and most recently served as the 2ID ROK-US Combined Division C4/G4.

AWARDS AND DECORATIONS: COL Donahue’s Awards and decorations include the Legion of Merit, Bronze Star Medal (2nd Award), Meritorious Service Medal (5th Award), Army Commendation Medal (2nd Award), the Army Achievement Medal, the National Defense Service Medal, the Afghanistan Campaign Medal, the Iraqi Freedom Expeditionary Medal, the Global War on Terror Expeditionary Medal, the Global War on Terror Service Medal, and the Korea Defense Service Medal. He has also been awarded the Parachutist Badge, the Parachute Rigger Badge and the Republic of Korea Paratrooper badge.
