Capt. Patrick Blake

Capt., U.S. Navy, Commander, DLA Indo-Pacific

Navy Capt. Patrick Blake is a native of West Alexander, Pennsylvania and a 1995 graduate of the University of Pittsburgh with a dual Bachelor’s degree in Business and Political Science, followed by commissioning through Officer Candidate School in Pensacola, Florida in 1996. He also earned a Masters of Business Administration degree from San Diego State University, and attended The Wharton School Executive Education Program.

His operational assignments include Commanding Officer, Naval Special Warfare Group One, Logistics Support Unit; Deputy Commander, U.S. Africa Command Control Element for Operation Observant Compass; Future Operations Officer, U.S. Central Command Deployment and Distribution Center; Commissioning Supply Officer in USS Chafee (DDG 90); and Division Officer in USS Shiloh (CG 67).

Blake assumed command of Defense Logistics Agency Indo-Pacific on June 1, 2022.

His previous shore assignments include Director, Ordnance Logistics, U.S. Pacific Fleet; Deputy Director, Strategy, Concepts & Assessments, and Chief, Multinational/Interagency Division, Logistics Directorate, The Joint Staff; Executive Officer to the Financial Controller for NATO’s Allied Command Operations, Supreme Headquarters Allied Powers Europe; Deputy Executive Officer to the Commander, U.S. Africa Command; Chief, Joint Logistics Operations Center and Chief, Logistics Policies and Programs, U.S. Africa Command; Supply Officer, Naval Special Warfare Group One Logistics Support Unit; Aide de Camp to the Commander, Naval Supply Systems Command and 42nd Chief of Supply Corps; and Supply Officer, Special Boat Squadron One.

Blake is a qualified Joint Service Officer, Navy Expeditionary Supply Corps Officer, and Surface Warfare Supply Corps Officer. His personal awards include the Defense Superior Service Medal, Legion of Merit, Defense Meritorious Service Medals, Meritorious Service Medal, Joint Service Commendation Medals, Navy and Marine Corps Commendation Medals, and Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medals, along with various unit and campaign commendations.

Blake is married to Navy Cmdr. Karlie M. Blake.
