CAMP CARROLL, Korea –
As part of their annual training, a group of United States Navy Reservists joined forces for the first time with United States Army soldiers, civilians and Korean nationals to work together as a team for the Defense Logistics Agency Distribution Korea. With the help of the reservists, the team processed nearly 2,000 lines this past November.
While working together, the Navy personnel expressed how impressed they were by the degree of collaboration, presence and involvement of DLA Distribution Korea commander, Army Lt. Col. Gary Whittacre during daily operations.
Additionally, the Navy team expressed satisfaction with the Distribution Korea team’s safety standards and the amount of time without any issues stating, “This definitely tells how much safety is enforced.” The entire team agreed how much they enjoyed working and learning with the Korean nationals. As well as the degree of professionalism and warm character of the Distribution Korea team.
“The Koreans are some of the nicest people in the world,” said Navy Reservist supply Chief Petty Officer Vascoe Rozier. “I will always cherish the experience because it taught me a lot as a leader.”
