Land and Maritime commander visits shipyard at Puget Sound

Defense Logistics Agency Land and Maritime Commander Navy Rear Adm. Michelle Skubic visited DLA Maritime at Puget Sound Naval Shipyard July 10. Skubic was at the Bremerton, Wash. facility to address the staff and recognize them for their outstanding contributions to Warfighter support.

Skubic presented commander’s coins to five associates during a brief ceremony and addressed the detachment workforce during her site visit. Shipyard leaders also provided her with operational updates during her visit.

Puget Sound Naval Shipyard and Intermediate Maintenance Facility serves as the primary advocate for supply support locally and at off-site locations. DLA Maritime at Puget Sound Naval Shipyard & IMF also serves as the reimbursable customers’ primary point of contact for all facets of the supply chain ensuring that customer priorities are met.
