Doboszenski selected to lead Army’s Joint Manufacturing Technology Center

Army Col. Scot Doboszenski, DLA Distribution Global Operations director, has been named the next commander of the Army’s Joint Manufacturing Technology Center, Rock Island Arsenal, Illinois.

As the only multi-purpose and vertically integrated metal manufacturer in the Department of Defense, the JMTC aims to manufacture products high in quality and sustainability.

“Col. Doboszenski’s selection represents the hard work he has demonstrated to this point in his career, his potential for increased responsibility, and the talent we have across DLA Distribution,” said Army Brig. Gen. John S. Laskodi, DLA Distribution commanding general.

A native of Delano, Minnesota, Doboszenski graduated as an Army Reserve Officers Training Corps scholarship student from St. John’s University in Collegeville, Minnesota, and was commissioned into the Army in May 1993.

Doboszenski attended the Army Medical Department Officer Basic Course in Fort Sam Houston, Texas, from January to March 1994, and then was assigned as the platoon leader and executive officer of C Company, 302nd Forward Support Battalion at Camp Casey, Korea, in April 1994. In 1995, he was selected as accountable supply officer of McDonald Army Community Hospital in Fort Eustis, Virginia.

In 1998, Doboszenski attended the Combined Logistics Officer Advanced Course in Fort Lee, Virginia, and then was selected as commander of C Company, 125th Forward Support Battalion in Fort Riley, Kansas, in 1998. From August 2000 to May 2003, he served as deputy to the Assistant Chief of Staff for Logistics – G4, and as the Support Operations and Logistics plans officer of the 30th Medical Brigade in Heidelberg, Germany.

Returning to the United States in June of 2003, Doboszenski served as an intern at the United States Army Medical Material Agency in Fort Detrick, Maryland. In March of 2004, he was selected to serve as the commander of C Company, 296th Brigade Support Battalion, 3rd Brigade, 2nd Infantry Division (Stryker) and was selected in July of 2005 to serve as executive officer and in 2007 as the support operation officer.

In 2009, Doboszenski was selected as chief of the Warfighting and Experimentation Division in Fort Sam Houston, Texas. From January 2012 to June 2014, he served as the commander of the 702nd Brigade Support Battalion, 4th brigade, 2nd Infantry Division (Stryker). From June 2014 to July 2015, he was the assistant chief of staff for Logistics at the G4, 10th Mountain Division.

Doboszenski’s education consists of a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology, Master of Science in Management of Information Systems from Bowie State University, Command and General Staff College in Fort Leavenworth, Kansas, and a Master of Science Degree in National Strategy and Resource Strategy from the Eisenhower School.

In addition, Doboszenski has served multiple combat tours in Kuwait, Afghanistan and Iraq.

Doboszenski’s awards and decorations include Bronze Star Medal with four oak leave clusters, Meritorious Service Medal with five oak leaf clusters, Army Commendation Medal with four oak leaf clusters, Army Achievement Medal with three oak leaf clusters, Combat Action Badge, Combat Medical Badge, and Expert Field Medical Badge.
