COLUMBUS, Ohio –
Spring is in the air, flowers are beginning to grow and so is the People and Culture Tree of Appreciation. Two more associates were recognized by their peers at the People and Culture Town Hall April 11 with leaves to place on the Appreciation Tree in B224S, the People and Culture conference room.
Jeffrey Day was recognized for the “Couldn’t have done it without you award.” His efforts on setting up the technology for the audiovisual support when nothing would work as well as going the extra mile making sure the room was set-up for the Level I Mentoring Program Orientation was invaluable.
Jay Hilderbran was recognized for “Excellence in Organization” for taking a proactive role ensuring the Pacers are correctly input into the GAL/MilConnect database. This kept the People and Culture’s listing at 100% accurate.
Kudos to both for a job well done!
The Tree of Appreciation program nomination process is simple. Associates within the People and Culture Directorate fill out a nomination form and include a short recognition citation for the nominee. Once complete, the nominator submits the form and the award is sent for approval. Nominees are recognized at the monthly People and Culture staff meeting with their citation and a leaf to place on the Appreciation Tree. They also receive a smaller leaf for display at their desk. To date, 31 leaves have been placed on the People and Culture Directorate Tree of Appreciation.
