What is your job title, and what do you do, specifically?

As an equipment specialist, I perform various duties. I research, create/maintain and update material master records for non-DLA managed consumables, local and national stock numbers for various shops, and the V-22 Osprey and H-1 Huey helicopters.  I relish every opportunity to assist fellow co-workers whether it is complex or mundane.  I especially enjoy engaging with customer support specialists and their leads, acquisition and sustainment specialists, vendors, original equipment manufacturers, engineers and more.

What do you like most about your job? It is challenging.

What kind(s) of training and education helps your work performance in your current role?

As an equipment specialist, I have received a lot of training including technical writing, drawing, dimension and tolerance courses. All of it helps my work performance.

What aspect(s) of your current job gives you the most personal satisfaction? Why?

Being able to make a positive impact, as we are the focal point for all material being ordered. Our job role is crucial in getting the correct material to the warfighter.

What was your first job?

My first job was passing out flyers for a construction company. I made a whopping 10 cents per flyer, and the boss bought lunch.

What’s your biggest pet peeve?  My biggest pet peeve is when anyone makes fun of a handicap person.

Do you have an unfulfilled wish?  I have always wanted to travel to New Zealand.

If you had a theme song, what would it be and why?  My theme song would be “Don’t Worry, Be Happy” because at the end of the day, what does worrying accomplish?

What five things could you absolutely not live without?  I could not live without Jesus, food, shelter, great friends and good music.
