Brooks named deputy of Warner Robins distribution center

DLA Distribution Public Affairs

Frederick “Tony” Brooks has officially been named as deputy director of DLA Distribution Warner Robins, Georgia.

In response to the announcement, Brooks said “I am honored to have been selected for this prestigious duty.  It comes with great responsibility in support of the Warfighter.”

Before joining the Warner Robins team, Brooks served as deputy director at sister site DLA Distribution Albany, Georgia.

Brooks is a native of Pensacola, Florida, and is a Marine who served honorably for more than 22 years.

His military career began among the enlisted ranks as a basic rifleman then transitioned mid-stream to supply administration.  He finished out his time with the Marine Corps in supply and logistics.

In 2004, Brooks was assigned to DLA Distribution Albany, Georgia, where his assignments included Joint Logistics operations chief and Senior Enlisted Advisor to the commander.  He also performed mid-level management duties for the Most Efficient Organization before assuming the deputy director position in 2012.

Brooks holds a Bachelor’s degree in Organizational Management with an Associate of Science in Business Administration, as well as certificates in Supply Chain Leadership from Penn State executive programs.

“I would say that serving is a choice.  No one can make a person serve.  It must be in the heart of a person to want to contribute toward our men and women in uniform.  They deserve the best and that is what I will give,” Brooks concluded.
